I was waiting for a friend and spent about about an hour walking around the neighborhood. I came back to the building and sat on a bench. I had my camera with me and as I looked up the sun was streaming through varied colored maple leaves. I decided to work on selective focus. That’s when you use manual focus and choose the area of the subject you want in focus and let the rest of the image be ‘selectively blurred.
I then processed the image in Lightroom and the Analog Efex Pro 2 Nik filter. Sometimes digital is almost to perfect, so I like to process the image to give it some ‘soul’ if you will.
One of the great things about Lightroom and Nik filters is you can experiment to your heart’s content without loosing your original image. You can see other images in the Leftt and Found Project.
